Arrival in Israel
Begin your pilgrimage with an overnight journey to Israel.
Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, meet your local representative and transfer to your hotel for dinner and time to rest before beginning your exploration of the Holy Land.
The Galilee
Sail across the Sea of Galilee and visit Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the region.
Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes and reflect on the Sermon on the Mount before visiting Tabgha, traditionally associated with the feeding of the 5,000.
Visit the Chapel of the Primacy and continue to Magdala, once home to Mary Magdalene and the location of a first-century synagogue.
The journey also includes the Jordan River, recalling the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist.
Cana, Nazareth, Megiddo & Caesarea
Visit Cana, traditionally associated with Jesus’ first miracle, before continuing to Nazareth, the town where Jesus grew up.
Look across Tel Megiddo—Armageddon—and explore one of Israel’s most important archaeological sites.
Continue to Caesarea, an important center of early Christianity associated with Cornelius and the imprisonment of Paul before his appeal to Caesar.
Jericho, Qumran & the Mount of Olives
Travel to Jericho and view the remains of the ancient city conquered by Joshua, with the traditional site of the Temptation of Jesus visible in the distance.
Continue to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.
Conclude the day on the Mount of Olives, overlooking Jerusalem from the place associated with the Ascension of Jesus.
Jerusalem & Bethlehem
Journey to Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity, built over the traditional site of the birth of Jesus. Look across Shepherds’ Field before returning to Jerusalem.
Pray in the Garden of Gethsemane and reflect on the events preceding the Crucifixion.
Continue to Mount Zion and visit the traditional House of Caiaphas and the Upper Room, recalling the Last Supper.
Jerusalem & the Old City
Walk the Cardo, the ancient main street of Jerusalem’s Old City.
Explore the Teaching Steps and Western Wall before visiting the Pool of Bethesda and the Church of St. Anne.
Continue to the site of Herod’s Antonia Fortress and follow the Via Dolorosa through the Old City toward the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Masada & the Dead Sea
Enjoy free time in Jerusalem or take an excursion into the Judean Desert.
Ascend Masada, Herod’s legendary mountaintop fortress and the final stronghold of Jewish rebels during the revolt against Rome.
From the summit, look across the remains of the Roman camps and siege ramp before continuing to the Dead Sea for the unforgettable experience of floating in its mineral-rich waters.
Jerusalem
Travel to Ein Kerem, traditionally recognized as the birthplace of John the Baptist and the place where Mary visited Elizabeth.
Continue to Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial, before visiting the Garden Tomb for a time of reflection.
Departure
Conclude your journey through the Holy Land and prepare for your return home—or continue your experience with an optional extension.
